Guru%20and%20SolarThis was clearly not the attention Solar was anticipating. Following the passing of Guru last month due to complications from multiple myeloma was a smear campaign against his producer and alleged guardian, Solar. Stories circulated with details of Solar abusing Guru and refusing to let certain people see him, even in his last days. Originally, Solar was communicating via Twitter (@Solar_7Grand) with spot postings from Guru's Twitter account (@GuruGangStarr). Somewhere in between April 29th and May 7th, both Solar's and Guru's Twitter accounts were hacked.

The first hacked post happened on May 7th from Guru's account stating: "Solar, why are you messing up my legacy? It's Gangstarr for life! Let's bring out the Militia! #GURU" to which Solar's hacked Twitter account responded: "Ain't that a b*tch... I'm the worst f*cking producer ever and now Guru is claiming Gangstarr? I suck! Oh well #GURU."

Throughout the day of May 7th, Guru's account posted screenshots of emails from Solar's hacked email account, also posted on Solar's account titled "The Real Solar" and "Exposing myself." Emails detailing demands for press, contacts and album purchases around the time of Guru's dying were revealed. "Let's get as big as possible!" Solar responded in one email about a request from HipHopDX to interview Solar about Guru's condition when he was in the hospital. By the end of May 7th, Guru's account ended with: "For real, R.I.P #Guru. The whole hiphop world misses you. Guru is not going to post anymore from here, it's disrespectful. Hiphop loves you!" and hasn't posted since.

However, the hacking hasn't stopped with Solar, as boastful quotes were posted about being able to recreate Nas' 'Illmatic' in 48 hours, taking an obvious jab to Solar's often inflated sense of self. Royce Da 5'9 even commented about it on Twitter (@RoyceDaFive9) with: "Dear God: Thank u for not making me Solar... Sux to be him right now.. AMEN."

Both Solar's and Guru's email addresses were kept in the screenshots of the emails posted to Twitter. One can only imagine what those inboxes look like and how Solar will respond once he realizes his information has been compromised. The bio on Solar's Twitter account now reads: The worst producer that ever walked on planet earth! This could get ugly.
