big%20fourAt this point, it appears there are no plans for the long-rumored "Big Four" of thrash with Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax to do a full-scale tour outside the seven dates they will play this summer in Europe for Sonisphere.

But Metallica has some pretty epic news for all you fans who can't make it to Europe for the "Big Four" shows. Now you can be a part of this historic concert event by simply heading to your local movie theater. Using the magic of satellite technology with a special HD simulcast from Sofia, Bulgaria on June 22, "The Big Four" will be shown on movie screens all over the world.

The live feed will be transmitted to over 450 movie theaters and over 350 theaters across Europe, Canada and Latin America. Within hours of the bands walking off the stage, you'll be able to witness each set from the cozy confines of your local movie theater.

Tickets for the one time event are available at the local theater box office or online at www.thebigfourlive.com where you can get a complete list of participating theaters. Tickets are on sale now in the U.S. and Friday, May 28 internationally.

Ticket prices, sale times and even days will vary by theater, so check at the one closest to you first for the exact information regarding the event. But it appears the ticket prices in the U.S. will be around $20 plus any service charges your local theater might add.

According to Billboard, while the details may vary from theater to theater, the showtimes are set to take place at 7:30pm in each time zone and the film will feature each band's full sets – 75 minutes for Metallica and 45 for all the other bands.
