taking%20back%20sundayCurrently on different legs of the sizzling summer tour with Blink-182 and Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and The All-American Rejects will continue to entertain fans this fall by launching a co-headlining tour in early November. This is the first time New York quintet Taking Back Sunday has toured with Oklahoma's The All-American Rejects.  Both bands have enjoyed immense success selling millions of albums and touring worldwide and they felt that the time was right to combine forces for a series of dates.  Florida's Anberlin, who recently experienced some breakthrough success with a #1 Modern Rock hit off of their current album New Surrender will join the bill as support.

Coming off of a sold-out world tour, multi-platinum recording artists, The All-American Rejects are keeping busy.  The All-American Rejects' third CD When the World Comes Down is the follow-up to their double platinum release, Move Along. The first single "Gives You Hell" spent 4 weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts and sold over 3.2 million in digital downloads. The band has also been making the rounds on national television shows including The Today Show and The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Their current single, "I Wanna" just debuted at #32 on the top 40 Chart and is climbing fast. Next up, the group will headline the Chevy 400 NASCAR pre-race performance.  They will then hit the stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards where they will perform with hip-hop artist Wale for a collaboration not to be missed!

Taking Back Sunday are touring behind their fourth studio album, New Again which was the third consecutive Taking Back Sunday album to debut in the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records on June 2nd and the band celebrated with a performance of their Top 10 Modern Rock hit "Sink Into Me" on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Produced by David Kahne, New Again has earned effusive critical praise. Rolling Stone declared the track "Sink Into Me," "the first song by an emo-pop band that the Foo Fighters wish they'd written: Catchy, lusty and sleekly propulsive." They have been playing to sold-out audiences for months and recently headlined the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey with No Doubt to a crowd of over 30,000. The band premiered their new single "Where My Mouth Is" on MTV's It's On With Alexa Chung in August. The song goes to radio this month.

Being a huge fan of music, I learned of American Idol and watched it from the first season. The success of Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken and Carrie Underwood may have made Idol a viable television property and given the music industry one more outlet to find talent. But rarely has it offered up an interesting topic for debate such as the presence of teen country singer Haeley Vaughn on Season 9's ros Read More ...
