the%20ready%20setAlternative-pop solo artist THE READY SET is hitting the road for a series of spring tour dates. The run begins later this month with a stint at SXSW, followed by performances at both the Bamboozle California festival March 28th and the Bamboozle New Jersey festival on May 1st.  The Ready Set will also be heading out on the Bamboozle Road Show, which kicks off May 21st and runs through June 27th.   The nationwide tour features All Time Low, Third Eye Blind, Boys Like Girls and more.

The Ready Set is 20 year-old Indiana-born drummer, singer, songwriter and keyboardist Jordan Witzigreuter.  Witzigreuter's debut album, due out this summer, will be the first release from the newly minted joint venture between Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records and Sire Records.  "Jordan and I are both from the Midwest, " says Wentz, "and we share a similar work ethic.  That hardworking dedication, combined with his unique talent, made The Ready Set the perfect inaugural artist for the Decaydance/Sire partnership."

Citing influences as varied as Daft Punk and Kanye West, The Ready Set creates infectious, danceable pop designed for fun.  The first single off his debut,  the JR Rotem-produced "Love Like Woe" will be available exclusively on iTunes starting March 30th.   The video for "Love Like Woe" will premiere on MySpace the same day.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Boys Like Girls, Never Shout Never, and The Scene Aesthetic, The Ready Set has already developed a passionate and loyal fan-base.  The self-described shy and reserved Witzigreuter transforms when taking the stage, with an in your face, frenetic live set. "Our shows are a party... All I care about is having fun," says Jordan.
