Born in Sardinia (Italy), SCELDRA began singing at the age of five in her home town church choir, eventually becoming lead vocalist throughout her early teens. Since then, Sceldra has collaborated with many local and national bands, touring live throughout Italy and abroad. She has also worked in several recording studios as a backing vocalist and vocal arranger. Sceldra moved to London in 1993, where she lived for nearly ten years, performing live at restaurants, clubs, pubs, private parties, and holiday resorts. From the "Center Parcs" resorts in Sherwood and Suffolk (East England) to the "High Rocks" resorts in Kent, she always received a positive response from her audiences. Sceldra’s vocal maturity was brought about by her passion for music and a constant search for personal expression while being influenced by R&B, soul, jazz, and 80's pop music. Sceldra is currently working on her second album. It is full of lush arrangements from contemporary Pop-Rock to soulful R&B ballads. While remaining faithful to her “tried and tested formula”, she introduces a more electronic vibrating sound with a rhythmic feel into her already eclectic list of influences, such as Dusty Springfield, George Michael, Sade, Simply Red, Earth Wind & Fire, Anita Baker, George Benson, and Ashford & Simpson just to name a few.....
