Born out of the dark thoughts of a world that could have been... Project:Komakino is an enigmatic collective that constructs authentic musical compositions which are smoothly digestible and universal in song message. Throughout much of their debut album 'The Struggle For Utopia,' the British quartet blends post-punk ambience with haunting vocals and rich lyrical espionage that often leaves listeners with chills. While depressing themes embody apathetic cuts like "Civility," "Nebula" and "Penumbra," Project;Komakino provides a shade of underlying hope for those who have gone through tragic experiences. After all, recognizing a problem and making amends is the true struggle for utopia. The music is heavily influenced by 70's British Post Punk, Constructive Design and Dystopian literature. This in turn has created a dark reverberated sound, accompanied by relentless drum beats, haunting vocals and intangible lyrics. After a sold-out single for the Parisian designer April77 and an EP for the hip London label Parlour Records, PROJECT:KOMAKINO will release its 1st album, The Struggle For Utopia, on the newly launched delabel.
