Electrifying St. Louis rock band Story of the Year have announced a headlining US spring tour with Maylene & The Sons of Disaster, After Midnight Project and Monty Are I in support of their forthcoming album, The Constant, which is due out on February 16 via Epitaph Records. Punk rock proponents for social justice, Street Dogs, have announced plans to return to the studio in February to record their fifth studio album and follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2008 Hellcat debut State of Grace. The band will be recording with bassist Johnny Rioux as producer and Rick Barton (original Dropkick Murphys guitarist) co-producing at the infamous punk rock studio the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado which was built by members of Descendents, All and Black Flag.

Multi-platinum rock band Green Day are in the studio this week recording a new version of their hit single "21 Guns" with the cast of American Idiot — the critically-acclaimed stage version of the band's 2004 album that has been playing at Berkeley Rep since early September.
